Garden bonfire causes blaze to spread to two houses in Milton Keynes

Firefighters rushed to the rescue when a bonfire in a garden brazier got badly out of control.

The blaze spread to two nearby houses, damaging the conservatories and lofts.

Four fire engines and crews attended the incident, which happened in Marshalls Lane at Woolstone at around 3.20pm yesterday (Tuesday).

Firefighters used a main jet, two hose reels, four sets of breathing apparatus and a turntable ladder.

A spokesman for Bucks Fire and Rescue said: "The fire spread from a garden brazier to the conservatories and lofts of two houses."
